My name is Dave Rooney I have been the owner of Rooney Landscape for 24 years. My experience in the Landscape industry Started with Moore Landscapes in 1983, it was there where my passion for the industry was ignited. Shortly after starting at Moore I ventured out on my own with a couple of mowers and the desire to create my own destiny. It has been an adventure that I wouldn’t trade for anything. The ability to belong to an organization which will allow a person to grow not only professionally but to also surround yourself with passionate devoted people has really created a completeness and fulfilling career. |
Cyndi Larucci/Administrator |
Was born and raised in Canada. She joined Rooney Landscape, Inc. in 2006 and brings nearly 12 years of professional administrative experience to the Team. Her responsibilities at Rooney Landscape include Customer Service, purchasing, time sheets and billing. The Landscape Industry is new to Cyndi, but she is enjoying all the new opportunities her position allows. She feels fortunate to work with such a “close knit” team.
Cyndi has two children and lives in the Northwest Suburbs. In her spare time she enjoys watching her children play sports. |
Todd Fisher/Maintenance Supervisor-Sales |
Todd has been actively involved in the Landscape industry for over 20 years working in many different areas of Landscape, and Landscape Management. He is passionate about his profession, and providing the best service for our customers. He currently manages our Landscape Maintenance Division, and is responsible for overseeing our Maintenance, and Specialty Crews. |
Pat Rooney/Accounting |
Pat has 45 years business experience in Accounting, Finance & Management. His responsibilities at Rooney Landscape include cost analysis, ledger activity and special studies. He's the proud father of 6 and grandfather of 16. |
Kim Rooney/Payroll Administrator |
My name is Kim Rooney and I have been working for Rooney Landscape for 2 years. I process payroll and accounts payable. My background is in nursing, but I decided to take a break and enter the exciting world of Rooney Landscape. I am married to David Rooney and we have 3 beautiful children. I enjoy working with a great team and have learned many new skills in the process. |
Juan Velazquez/Construction Supervisor |
Juan attended Palatine High School, grew up and still lives in the area. Juan started as foreman and has been promoted to supervisor. He is responsible for Rooney's construction crews and snow plow operations. |
Jason Blonstein/Director of Operations |
He attended William Fremd High School and after high school, Jason enrolled as a cadet at the United States Military Academy at West Point. At West Point, he majored in History and minored in both Nuclear Engineering and Arabic. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the United States Army and assigned to the 1st Battalion, 77th Armor Regiment in Schweinfurt, Germany as an armored cavalry officer.
After getting married in July of 2011, Jason’s wife, Erin, received a job offer in Chicago that was too good for the couple to pass up. They relocated back to Chicago where they try to pretend they like the snow. But at least the pizza is good. In November of 2011, Jason started with Rooney Landscape where he is the Director of Operations. |
Tonya Sherwood/Sales and Inside Sales |
Tonya moved from Iowa to Chicago in 2002 to attend Columbia College Chicago and acquired a B.A. in Film and Video. Her passion for gardening led her to a career change. In summer 2011 she graduated from College of Dupage with an Associate’s degree in Horticulture. She also has a certificate in Landscape Design and Construction, and a Certificate in Horticulture.
She joined Rooney Landscape in March 2012 as an Account Manager. Tonya is passionate about container gardening and enjoys spending her free time with her husband and two dogs. |
